This beautiful custom made wedding dress was made in England by Laura Ashley in 1989 and worn only once by the bride. The owner has finally decided to pass it along to the next lucky bride.
The dress is made of the finest, smoothest pale ivory cotton damask lawn fabric with a lovely design of tiny floral garlands and ribbons that have a subtle shimmer. The dress has a sweetheart "v" front frilled neckline with a tie up floppy bow. The puffed sleeves have ruffled cuffs and tie up bow accents. The skirts are pleat-gathered to the waist. To the left and right side the skirts have a "tie up" that loop up the skirts with a stunning look straight out of a Dickens novel. The original crinoline is included and flares the enormous hemline for a lovely sweep.
This dress was fashioned by Laura Ashley after Princess Diana's wedding dress and is a very romantic Victorian style dress. It was modeled by Kate Moss at the time, so we have included that picture.
The dress is an English size 10 which is a U.S. size 6. It is in immaculate condition, stored lovingly since the wedding.
